Warwickshire Police reported 93 drivers for summons by the courts, arrested three people and seized six vehicles during the first four days of a national speeding campaign. Another 24 drivers were given warnings for behaviour observed by officers in the county’s roads.
Three areas of policing are set to see increased focus across the county as a direct result of the extra resources provided by increased Council Tax funding, Warwickshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Philip Seccombe, have confirmed.
A survey carried out over the last four weeks has shown that a large majority of people in the county have welcomed Warwickshire Police’s approach to policing the lockdown restrictions.
