Police were called at 1230 hours on Tuesday 9 June 2020 to reports of a cyclist unconscious in the carriageway near Hilltop Garden Centre, Shilton Lane, Shilton.
Officers arrived to find a man in his 70’s from Coventry had suffered a serious head injury after it is believed he had fallen from his bike.
He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment, however sadly nothing could be done to save him and he passed away on 10 June.
Officers investigating the circumstances of the collision believe no other vehicles were involved.
