Police make arrests for drink driving over the weekend

Four people have been arrested in connection with drink driving incidents over the weekend.

At 23.41 hours on Friday 23 April, a 53 year old man from Leamington Spa was arrested after a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike in Scott Road, Leamington Spa. He was later charged with drink driving and is due to appear before Coventry Magistrates at midday on 11 May 2021.

A 28 year old man from Coventry was arrested when the car he was driving was stopped due to a moving traffic offence at 1.42 hours on Saturday 24 April 2021 on Leicester Road, Rugby. He was later charged with drink driving and driving without insurance and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court at 11am on 11 May 2021.

At 22.45hours on Saturday 24 April a 26 year old man from Longford in Coventry was arrested at a petrol station in Coventry Road, Exhall. He was later charged with Driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and driving with no insurance and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court at 10am on 11 June 2021.

A 32 year old man from Whitnash was arrested at 22.00 hours on Sunday 25 April 2021 and later charged with drink driving after the vehicle he was driving was found with collision damage on the A46 Leek Wootton roundabout between Warwick and Leamington. He is currently scheduled to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court at 11am on 21 May 2021.
