Detectives in Nuneaton are appealing for information following a knifepoint robbery at an off licence in the town earlier today (Sunday 2 May).
Just after midday the offender went into the shop in Bull Street and threatened staff with a knife before leaving with cash from the till.
The offender was described as Asian and he was wearing a surgical mask.
Detective Sergeant Paul Sartoris from Nuneaton CID said: “Fortunately nobody was injured in this incident but it was terrifying for staff at the shop. We’re keen to speak to anyone who saw anyone matching the description of the offender around the time of the incident. We’d also like to speak to anyone with dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident.”
Anyone with information that could help police with their investigation should call 101 quoting incident 141 of 2 May 2021. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
