Faster responses for our communities
How we respond to you in an emergency is one of the most important things for a police force to get right.
We’re committed to getting there fast when you most need us, and we’ve been making significant improvements in the last year.
So what can you expect if you need to call us in an emergency?
We answer almost all (94%) emergency calls in ten seconds. It usually takes about 12 minutes to reach you, and we get to the vast majority (85%) within 20 minutes.
Where something’s happened but it isn’t an emergency, we set a two-hour target response time.
We use a risk assessment process to work out how quickly we need to reach you.
It usually takes us just over 33 minutes to get to you and we’ll be there within the target time in almost all of these incidents (93%).
Our new video series shows what happens behind the scenes if you ever need to make that call.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work in police response, now’s your chance to find out!
Working on response is one of the most fast-paced and unpredictable policing roles. But it’s also incredibly rewarding, enabling us to support our communities when they need us most.
We asked PC Alex Salter to take us behind the scenes and show us what he gets up to responding to emergency calls in Warwickshire.

As part of our campaign, you will see our messages around Warwickshire and online, while our Safer Neighbourhood Teams are out and about talking to local residents across the county.
There are a host of ways to stay connected with us; by signing up to our community messaging system Warwickshire Connected, completing our community priorities survey, following us on social media or by joining one of our Community Advisory Groups (CAGs).
