Citizens' Academies enable people in our communities to develop an insight into and experience what their local policing teams do to protect them, their families, friends and colleagues from harm.
A YouGov poll commissioned in 2012 discovered that a third of the public (36%) would be interested in attending a Citizens' Academy, and a further 8% would be extremely interested, clearly showing that an appetite exists for this.
