Warwickshire Police will have additional officers on patrol throughout England’s World Cup campaign, starting with this evening’s opening match.
Extra officers will be deployed for every England fixture, continuing through to the final (we hope), as police work to ensure communities can enjoy the tournament safely.
Superintendent Karl Faulkner said:
“These extra officers are there to help keep you safe and make sure it’s a World Cup to remember for all the right reasons. if you have any concerns, please speak to one of them.
“You can help by planning ahead, making sure you know how you’re getting home at the end of the night and looking out for your friends."
