We’re appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle collision near Leamington Hastings.
We were called to the A426 between Dunchurch and Southam just after 11pm last night (Thursday).
Officers attended along with the ambulance and fire services to find a blue Vauxhall Corsa had come off the road and hit a tree.
Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries while three others – a man and two teenage girls - were treated at hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening.
Shortly afterwards, we arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
Enquiries into the collision are ongoing and we’re keen to hear from anyone who was driving along the road or who saw the car and the way it was being driven before the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to report it online quoting incident number 494 of 18 June.
