We’re keen to identify two witnesses as we continue investigating a man’s body being found in Atherstone earlier this month.
The body was discovered in Monk’s Park Lane just after 1.30am on Friday 3 April.
We believe the driver of a vehicle collided with him before leaving the scene.
We’d like to speak to the drivers of a white van and a red car that we believe were on the road at the time as they may have witnessed what happened.
We also encourage anyone who used the road between 1.05am and 1.40am or who saw a man walking along the road close to Ridge Lane to get in touch with us.
Anyone with information that could help can report it online or email [email protected] quoting incident number 25 of 3 April.
A 23-year-old man from Nuneaton and a 74-year-old man from Shifnal arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident have been bailed as we continue enquiries.
