We’re launching the Warwickshire Police Excellence Awards to recognise the outstanding contributions of people across the force in the last year.
There are awards for police officer of the year, police staff of the year, student officer of the year, police and community support officer of the year, volunteer of the year, local policing team of the year, inspirational leadership, excellence in innovation, team of the year and unsung hero.
Nominations are judged by an independent panel of people taken from all ranks, teams and departments.
In the force, anyone can nominate the colleagues who they feel deserve recognition. We're also asking for input from the people we serve across the county.
Who have you seen in local policing teams and community groups who have gone above and beyond to help make Warwickshire a safer place?
Do you know a local policing team who has changed local policing, working with residents and partners, improved performance and driven prevention?
Or do you know individuals or community groups who have made a difference across Warwickshire?

Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire, Philip Seccombe, said: “I am in the incredibly fortunate position to be able to hear about some of the incredible things police officers in Warwickshire are doing on a daily basis to keep people safe. The Excellence Awards provide the opportunity for us to publicly recognise their bravery and commitment, which often goes unnoticed.
“I am particularly proud to present the Police and Crime Commissioner Community Award, recognising individuals and groups out in our local communities who are making a difference. If you know of anyone who supports their town or village, please get in touch and nominate them today. I look forward to reading the many worthy examples of how we are making Warwickshire a safer place for all.”
Deputy Chief Constable David Gardner said: “Every day I see and hear examples where we help people at the time they need us most, or where someone has gone over and above to support our communities. The Warwickshire Police Excellence Awards are our opportunity to recognise and celebrate our people and we genuinely value nominations from members of the public on the people who have made the most difference to you."
We’re inviting members of the public to submit their nominations for the people and teams they’d like to recognise.
