Congratulations to our 20 of our student officers - including two former cadets - who recently had their passing out ceremony.
The officers, part of our Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) scheme, will now be going out onto response teams across the county, before completing their degrees in 2027.
Certificates were presented and warrant cards were issued by Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith, with Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe and High Sheriff Rajvinder Kaur Gill also in attendance.
Two of our former police cadets, Lewis and Ruby (also a former High Sheriff Cadet), were among the cohort.
Following the event, High Sheriff Rajvinder Kaur Gill commented: "Policing is more than enforcing laws; it's about being a visible, trusted presence in the community, offering support in times of need, and making tough decisions with courage and integrity.
"This occasion was made even more special as one of my High Sheriff Cadets and one of my predecessor's Cadets were among the new recruits - a truly proud and humbling moment.
"Throughout my journey as High Sheriff of Warwickshire, I have had the privilege of working closely with our police force, witnessing first hand their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities. Seeing our cadet Ruby step forward into this vital role is a testament to the strength of our future generation in policing. So proud of each and every one of them!"
Chief Constable Alex Franklin-Smith said: “I’m really pleased to welcome our latest new recruits to Warwickshire Police. These officers will now be able to start making a real difference in our communities, preventing crime and keeping people safe, and I wish them the very best as they move into the next stage of their careers.”
Applications are currently open for student police officers and police cadets. If you’re inspired to become part of our next generation of police officers or cadets, you can find out more and apply on our website.
