Hundreds of people are killed or seriously injured on the country’s roads each year as a result of people driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
We use intelligence to target drink drivers, and this is where you can help by reporting concerns.
Chief Inspector Jem Mountford said: “The information provided by the public is vital to helping us tackle this issue.
“It could be the guy down the pub who everyone knows will drive home after having a few pints or it could be someone who thinks she's ok to drive after a few glasses of wine. Whoever it is, the information you provide could help to save a life.
“Where we can, we will respond immediately to reports and if we are not able to, we will use that intelligence to potentially target that person in future. The information you provide could save a life.”
If you have concerns that someone drink or drug driving poses an immediate threat to other road users, then call us on 999. Any other concerns around someone regularly drink driving can be provided to us by calling 101 or going to our website.
Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
