Charges brought for 16-year-old following Queens Road stabbing

A 16-year-old boy from Nuneaton has been charged with murder following events leading to the death of 25-year-old Tom Ellis in Nuneaton.

He will appear in Warwick Crown Court on 14 June.  

On 8 June at just before 9:30pm, Tom Ellis suffered a stab wound on Queens Road in Nuneaton and died shortly afterwards.

With the use of CCTV footage and other enquiries, four boys allegedly present during the incident were identified and arrested on suspicion of murder.

The boy allegedly responsibly for the stab wound was singled out within 72 hours of the initial report.

Of the four arrests, one (a 15-year-old boy) has been released without further action, and the other two (a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy) have been released on bail.

In addition to the previous four arrests, another 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on 11 June.
