Detective Inspector Nigel Collins said: “This is an extremely concerning incident and we will carry out a thorough investigation to establish exactly what happened. Blood samples have been taken from the victim and this will help us piece together exactly what happened last night.
“I would like to thank the public and staff at the venue for their ongoing support with our investigation.
“We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in Popworld last night, anyone with video or photos from the venue or anyone else who believes they may have had something administered to them.”
