Warwickshire Police is appealing for information after a significant amount of cannabis was found in an abandoned building in Nuneaton.
On the afternoon of Sunday 25 April, officers were called to the former Kingsholme pub on Abbey Street. A substantial amount of cannabis was found being grown at different stages, and the mains electricity into the property had been bypassed. This required the attendance of a utility company to make the premises safe.
The plants and equipment were seized, and enquiries are now ongoing to identify and locate those responsible. It’s believed two men, suspected to be Vietnamese, were seen to leave the property when officers attended.
If anyone has any information on the premises or has witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 216 of 24 April 2021. Information can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
