We are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision near Atherstone yesterday.
Police responded to reports that a motorcyclist had come off his bike on the A5, Watling Street, near Atherstone at approximately 6.25pm.
The motorcyclist, a 37 year old man, was in a critical condition when officers arrived.
The rider received CPR and an ambulance was called. Sadly paramedics were unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
The man’s next of kin have been informed.
