Three teenagers have been arrested after police were called to reports of offences committed by a group of males on mopeds in Nuneaton.
Officers were called to reports three males on stolen mopeds had attempted to rob someone in Bucks Hill, and stolen a bag from a car in Lutterworth Road yesterday (Tuesday 10 November) afternoon.
Following a pursuit officers from the North Warwickshire Vehicle Crime Team arrested one of the suspects in Queen Elizabeth Road.
Another suspect was arrested following a foot chase after his moped was stopped in Manor Court Road.
The third suspect was arrested near Stoney Road.
A 17-year-old boy from Coventry was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A 15-year-old boy from Atherstone was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and robbery.
A 19-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Describing the role of the vehicle crime team Sergeant Steve Davies said: “Our team is dedicated to tackling vehicle crime in Warwickshire. We use proactive policing to help make the county a hostile place for people looking to commit vehicle crime or use the road networks to commit crime.”
