Five people have been arrested after warrants were executed this morning (Wednesday).
As a result of concerns raised by the local community, officers carried out warrants at a property on Atherstone Road in Hartshill and on Stratford Avenue in Atherstone.
A quantity of a substance – believed to be class A drugs – was removed. A vehicle – suspected to be stolen – was recovered from Stratford Avenue.
Two 18-year-old men from Birmingham has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and theft of motor vehicle.
A 17-year-old boy of Birmingham has been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug and attempted theft of a vehicle.
A 39-year-old man from Atherstone was arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A 37-year-old woman from Atherstone was arrested on suspicion of theft. She has been further arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug.
All five individuals remain in police custody at this time.
