Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: Please be advised that the requested information is not centrally recorded and is therefore not held in a readily retrievable format. A report of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) would initially be recorded by way of an Incident Log on the Command-and-Control system. The term ASB does not in itself describe an offence, however, reports of ASB initially recorded as an Incident Log, could result in criminal offences being identified and recorded, such as criminal damage, harassment, public order offences, etc. Furthermore, whilst an Incident log will be recorded for all reports of ASB, not all reports will result in a crime being recorded, for example a report of noise nuisance where we may advise the person reporting to contact other agencies. In order to determine the number of Incident logs relating to ASB that have resulted in a crime being recorded and then whether any arrest was made, as well as the context and outcomes of each incident, and ascertaining the category it falls into as per Q2, it would be necessary to manually review every Incident Log with an ASB disposal code on an individual basis. For the period 2019 to 2024, there were 67,931 ASB related Incident Logs recorded on the Command-and-Control System, as can be identified from the below links to previously published FOI responses on the force website:
At a conservative estimate of 5 minutes per log to review, this would equate to 5,661 hours of work. Therefore, the work involved in locating, retrieving, and recording the requested information exceeds the cost threshold of £450, which equates to 18 hours work at a standard rate of £25 per hour, as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
In accordance with Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a Refusal Notice for this request.
In accordance with Section 16 of the Act, I have a duty to provide advice and assistance on refining your request. I can advise that it may be possible to locate and retrieve the following information within the appropriate fees limit:
However, this information, once located and retrieved, would still be subject to the usual disclosure considerations.
Please also note that requests for incident/crime references, names and the longitude/latitude/location of an incident or crime, would be exempt by virtue of being personal information as it could lead to the identification of an individual.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
