FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 1029-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 15th October 2025 as follows:
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I seek the following data about bonus payments:
Q1. Total amount that Warwickshire Police paid its staff in bonuses.
Q2. Total amount in bonuses paid to those in Warwickshire Police holding the following ranks: Chief Constable and Deputy Chief Constable.
Q3. Number of Warwickshire police officers who received a bonus.
Q4. Average annual bonus payment earned by Warwickshire police officers.
I want this data broken down annually for the 2022/23, 2023/24, and 2024/25 financial years.
On 17th October 2025 a request for clarification was made to you as follows:
Please could you clarify what would be considered a bonus for the purposes of your request? There are a number of additional payments associated with roles/duties performed, which are paid in addition to basic salary; however, they are not performance related bonuses, rather a compensation for the nature of work / additional responsibility, etc.
You advised:
With respect to your question of what would be considered a bonus, I mean 'bonus' to refer to additional financial compensation given to an employee of Warwickshire Police beyond their regular salary.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
