FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 550-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 19th May 2025 as follows:
Please tell me the exact breathalyser device model your force uses in breathalyser roadside tests (to test for alcohol, cocaine and marijiuna), the name of the company that manufactures the device and send me any reports the manufacturer conducted - that have been sent to your force - that shows the accuracy of these breathalysers.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: Please be advised that our breathalysers test for alcohol only. We use Draeger Alcotest 6820 & 6810, which are manufactured by Draeger Safety UK Ltd. Regarding your request for manufacturer reports, I can advise that our response is no information held.
Outside the Act and in order to provide assistance, I can advise that we also use the Securetec DrugWipe 3S, manufactured by Securetec, which can test for Cocaine or Cannabis.
