Clarification
In our response to FOI-414-2025, we advised:
Q1 – A response could be provided based on filtering all RTCs recorded in 2024/25 to where the vehicle type is ‘car’.
Q1a – Please note that up to six factors can be selected for each collision, therefore it is not possible to provide a breakdown per incident; however, a list of the six most common causation factors for 2024/25 RTCs could be provided.
Q1b – The total number of collisions involving cars, identified at Q1, could be broken down by the five policing areas of Warwickshire, which are set out below:
North Warwickshire
Nuneaton and Bedworth
Rugby
Warwick
Stratford-Upon-Avon
Q2b and Q3b – The total number of pedestrian casualties and the total number of pedal cycle casualties identified at Q2 and Q3 could be broken down by the five local policing areas, as shown above.
In addition, it may also be possible to provide responses to Q2, Q2a, Q3 and Q3a, however the information will be subject to the usual disclosure considerations.
You advised:
Based on your advice and assistance could I please resubmit the request with the revisions you have made.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below. When considering the information please note that collision figures for 2024/25 have not been finalised. There may still be information that has not as yet been returned or may still be waiting for verification and/or an investigation to conclude and therefore figures could increase, and classifications could change.
