FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 520-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 12th May 2025 as follows:
I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for information regarding the police officer mobile app used by your service, as well as related technologies. To ensure I receive as comprehensive a response as possible, I kindly request the following details:
Q1. Supplier and Contract Information:
Q1a. The name of the current supplier for your police officer mobile app (e.g., Motorola Pronto, or others).
Q1b. The start and end dates of the contract.
Q1c. The total value of the contract, as well as the number of licenses currently in use.
Q1d. The annual contract value, if available.
Q1e. If the solution was sourced through another organisation (e.g., the council or a consortium), please provide details of that organisation.
Q2. Contractual and Procurement Details:
Q2a. A copy of the original technical specification and tender documents used in the procurement of the police officer mobile app.
Q2b. The names of any suppliers who bid for the contract, along with how they scored across each evaluation domain (e.g., quality, cost, and overall score).
Q2c. A summary of the procurement process used, including the weighting of different evaluation criteria.
Q3. Contact Information:
Q3a. The name, email address, and phone number of the system owner or key contact responsible for the police officer mobile app software within your service.
Q3b. The department in which the system owner is based.
Q4. Related Technology Systems:
Q4a. Please provide details of any additional technology systems integrated with or complementing your police officer mobile app, such as:
Incident management systems
Mobile communications platforms
Vehicle tracking or telematics systems
Command and control systems
Mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Q4b. For each system, please provide the supplier name, contract start and end dates, contract value, and renewal date.
Q5. Collaborative or Shared Procurement:
Q5a. If your service participates in any shared or collaborative purchasing frameworks for technology (e.g., with other authorities or consortia), please provide details of these frameworks or partnerships, and the contracts awarded through them.
Given the scope of this request, if processing time becomes an issue, I have listed my request in priority order and would appreciate it if the contractual information related to the police officer app (Section 1) could be prioritised, please.

Q1 response: Please be advised that Warwickshire Police use iPhones and employ ‘in-house’ App developers to build such provisions. Therefore, the remaining elements of your request are not applicable.
