FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 617-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 11th June 2025 as follows:
If the answer to any of the above is more complicated than a “yes/no”, please provide a short explanation.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Q1 response: Not a contract but it is an agreement that if a partner agency use the DASH risk assessment as part of their service provision and reports domestic abuse to the police, they complete the DASH which they send with the referral.
Q2 response: Partner agencies use DASH and not DARA.
Q3 response: DASH is a domestic abuse risk assessment tool which has been used by police and partner agencies for a number of years. The police have recently switched to DARA, while partners continue to use DASH.
Q4 response: No, they use DARA.
Q5 response: Yes, a DARA will always be completed by frontline staff in response to all incidents of domestic abuse.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
