Q4 response: All offences were officer seen.
Q5 response: If the offence is dealt with by way of a Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme (VDRS) these do not carry a penalty. Those that are dealt with by way of a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) (shown as ‘Non Endorsable Notice’ in the above table) have a fixed penalty of £100 and the monies go to The Treasury. In the event that a fixed penalty is not paid it will then go to Court; therefore, the numbers provided are based on the initial disposal and not the final outcome. If a notice does go to Court, then the penalty could be in excess of £100 however, this information is not held by the force.
