FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 48-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 10th January 2025 as follows:
Q1. Does your force have a standalone suicide prevention policy? If yes, please provide details of that policy or a copy of it.
Q2. Was your force engaged in the Department of Health and Social Care National Partnership Agreement: Right Care, Right Person RCRP?
Q3. Has your force engaged with the Crisis Care Concordat’ CCC that existed since 2014 to ensure partner agencies worked together to deliver a high quality response in cases of mental illness?
Q4. Does your force operate a mental health triage care (or equivalent)
Q5. If yes, please provide details of the date the unit became effective, the shift pattern hours and the total number of officers allocated to this unit
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Q1 response: Warwickshire police do not have a standalone suicide prevention policy. Therefore, our response to this question is ‘no information held’.
Q2 response: Yes. Warwickshire Police began the first stages of RCRP implementation in February 2024, although it must be noted that the National Police Chiefs Council and Association of Police and Crime Commissioners were also part of the national partnership agreement.
Q3 response: The force did not specifically engage with the Crisis Care Concordat, however there was partnership work taking place, led by the NPCC as part of the partnership agreement, which would have potentially engaged with the CCC. The implementation of RCRP was implemented independently by individual police forces.
Q4 response: Yes, Warwickshire Police have a Mental Health Triage Team.
Q5 response: Date started: 07/09/2019. Number of officers: 4 officers and 1 Inspector. Shift pattern: 12-hour shift, 7 days a week.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
