FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 17-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 6th January 2025 as follows:
In the event that the force does not have any risk assessment(s) in place please advise accordingly.
Additional note (this does not form part of the FOI, but is supplied to assist your understanding of the FOI). On 26th October 2024 your force became subject to the duty to prevent sexual harassment (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-protections-from-sexual-harassment-come-into-force).
These two pieces of statutory guidance - https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/guidance/sexual-harassment-and-harassment-work-technical-guidance (see in particular points 4.10 – 4.13), https://www.acas.org.uk/sexual-harassment (see in particular the chapter on preventing sexual harassment) have been published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and ACAS respectively.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: Warwickshire Police do not hold risk assessments in this respect; our response is therefore ‘no information held’.
However, outside of the Act, I can advise that we do hold a ‘Sexual Harassment Policy’.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
