FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 817-2025
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 6th August 2025 as follows:
- How many Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR's) have been submitted to Warwickshire Police between 1st January 2023 and 6th August 2025?
- Of those DSAR's submitted, how many were not actioned and completed within one calendar month and what is the average response time in days for those which did not comply with legislation?
- What remedies has Police put in place to ensure improved compliance with Data Protection Legislation by Warwickshire Police Force?
- Has Warwickshire Police Force, or any of its officers or employees, been subject of any warning, reprimand, enforcement notice or penalty issued by the Information Commissioner's Office and if financial penalties have been imposed how much are they?

Q1 response:
2023 – 307 requests received
2024 – 337 requests received
2025 (to 6/8) – 303 requests received
Q2 response: Please be advised that figures have been provided for those requests that have not complied with the legislation, rather than those that have exceeded a calendar month. This is because requests can be extended under DP legislation and, from the wording of the request, it has been interpreted that ‘non-compliance’ figures are required.
2023 – 16 responded to outside of legislation deadline
2024 – 53 responded to outside of legislation deadline
2025 (to 6/8) – 78 responded to outside of legislation deadline
Please note that average response time is not information held.
Q3 response: The request has been interpreted as being in direct relation to Q2 regarding compliance rate and I can advise that there is no specific recorded information held in this respect.
