Please can you provide the following information for the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 calendar years:
Q1. How many knives were seized by police following stop and search
Q2. How many knives were seized by police from people aged under 18 following stop and search
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
When reviewing the information please note that it was obtained from Stop/Search data where ‘knife/bladed article’ was indicated to have been found. Due to system changes, the information is only available from 2022 onwards.
Please note that the numerical data presented below is an unaudited snapshot of unpublished data sourced from "live" systems and is subject to the interpretation of the original request by the individual extracting the data.
