FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 1017-2024
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 20th November 2024 as follows:
Q1. Have all operational staff in your force completed the Domestic Abuse Matters course since December 2015?
YES / NO
Q2. If YES – how many times?
On 21st November we requested the following clarification:
Where you have stated, “operational staff”, please clarify what this refers to, for example are you talking about all officers across the force or something else, please advise.
On 21st November you provided the following:
I am specifically referring to first responders/frontline staff. If you’re your answer is “yes”, please could you also provide a total number of how many first responders on the force have attended the DA Matters course since December 2015 as well as a percentage.
On 22nd November we requested further clarification as follows:
We do not have any roles described as ‘first responders/frontline staff’.
I can advise that the Local Policing Directorate contains the core operational policing functions such as Patrol and Safer Neighbourhood Teams, who are likely to respond first to an emergency call. However, it also contains firearms officers, dog handler officers and the Roads Policing Team, all of which could also respond. In addition, depending on the circumstances, specialist teams in other directorates could also be tasked with responding.
Please advise how you wish us to proceed with your request.
On 25th November you provided the following:
Please could you answer the question relating to any of your staff that would response to a possible domestic abuse call.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below:
Q1 response: No
Q2 response: Not applicable
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
