I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 15th July 2024 as follows:
Please can you supply a copy of any policy and / or procedures you hold relating to staff transitioning in the workplace.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: Please find attached the Warwickshire Police Gender Reassignment/Transition guidance policy which is aligned to the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) toolkit “Trans Guidance for the Policing Sector”. This guidance aims to support persons working within Warwickshire Police to ensure that individuals who are undergoing or have undergone gender reassignment are treated fairly and with respect and dignity.
Please note that there are three slight redactions in relation to the names of individuals. These have been redacted by virtue of Section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act. Exemption under Section 40(2) is applicable where the information requested relates to a third party or could lead to the identification of an individual which would be in breach under the Data Protection Act 2018, in particular Article 5(1) of the GDPR which states that personal data shall be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
