FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: FOI-23-2024
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 4th January 2024 as follows:
I am seeking the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.

Please find the Warwickshire police response set out below.
Response: Please be advised that the information requested at question a) is not centrally recorded and is not held in a readily retrievable format. Officers have many interactions; some which may fall under the remit of your request, and which may, or may not, have been recorded. In the event that such interactions have taken place then this would likely to be recorded on the Command & Control System or within an officer’s pocket notebook. However, in order to determine whether this is the case it would be necessary to make enquiries with each and every officer in force and ask them to read through their notes for the specified period, together with trawling through hundreds of thousands of incident logs. This would of course involve an inordinate amount of effort which would take us over the fees limit (£450) as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004. It should also be noted that even if this process were undertaken, it may would not provide an accurate picture as not all such instances would be likely to be recorded at all.
In accordance with Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter is a Refusal Notice for this part of the request, and, if one part of a request exceeds the fees limit, then Section 12 of the Act applies to the whole request.
In accordance with Section 16 of the Act I have a duty to provide advice and assistance; however, due to the volume of information concerned, I am unable to suggest a way to revise this element of your request into one which could be provided within the fees limit.
With regard to question b) of your request, please be advised that conviction data falls within the remit of, and is held by, HM Courts and you may wish to contact them in this regard. However, should you wish to revise this element of your request to charges, then we may be able to provide this, along with a response to question c). Therefore, should you wish to resubmit a request asking for the information set out below, then this may be possible within the fees limit.
