I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 3rd January 2024 as follows:
The number of under-18s who committed homicides using a knife or sharp instrument in the following years? 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023
Please see the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: Searches were conducted for all homicide offences, recorded during the period 2018 to 2023, with an attached marker of ‘Use of knife or other sharp instrument’ and where a suspect was aged under 18. The resulting records were then reviewed to determine where a suspect had been charged and convicted.
