FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 463-2024
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 29th April 2024 as follows:
What is the percentage of neurodiverse employees within the police? - Please can this include police staff, front line police, detectives etc.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: No information held in relation to percentage of neurodiverse employees within force.
Further, with regard to providing the actual number of neurodiverse employees within Warwickshire Police, this information is not held in a readily retrievable format. Information in relation to neurodiversity would only be recorded if the individual requested it to be and/or where the condition required any adjustment. However, in order to determine the number of individuals where a neurodiverse condition is recorded, it would be necessary to examine the personal records of each and every employee on an individual basis. Such searches would exceed the cost threshold (£450) which equates to 18 hours work at a standard rate of £25 per hour, as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
In accordance with Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, this letter acts as a Refusal Notice for this request.
In accordance with Section 16 of the Act I have a duty to provide advice and assistance in relation to your request; however, due to the number of records which would need to be examined, I am unable to suggest a way to revise your request into one which could be managed within the fees limit.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
Freedom of Information Officer
