I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 30th October 2023 as follows:
We would like to go ahead with your suggested amended request, to provide responses to Q4 and Q5 of the request for the period of 1st January 2023 to date, based on dangerous dog seizure figures collated manually since the loss of the bespoke system in 2022. We appreciate they will not necessarily align directly with 08/21 offences recorded for the same period.
Q4. Of the dogs in each of the years in (2) above, how many were seized as a result of being dangerously out of control?
Q5. Of the dogs in each of the years in (2) above how many were seized on suspicion of being a banned breed?
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below. Please be advised that information has been provided for the available period of 1st January 2023 to 30th September 2023.
Q4 response: 39 seizures.
Q5 response: 2 suspected banned breeds.
