Qb response: I can advise that in Warwickshire, throughout 2022 (and earlier), mandatory attendance was required in circumstances where a burglary of a residential dwelling involved persons entering the property and items being stolen. Then, in October 2022, the NPCC made a commitment that all police forces across England and Wales would attend all residential burglaries. More details can be found here:
However, there is no way of readily identifying from the crime recording system whether an officer attended the scene of a burglary and, to allow for any anomalies, in order to provide an absolute definitive figure of the number attended, it would be necessary to examine each and every investigation on an individual basis which would exceed the cost threshold (£450), which equates to 18 hours work at a standard rate of £25 per hour, as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
