FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: FOI-503-2023
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 11th May 2023 as follows:
I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
Please could you provide me with the following information, in Excel or similar spreadsheet form if possible:
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Q1 response: Searches were conducted for the following offences, recorded between 01/01/2018 and 15/05/2023, where a conditional offer has been issued:
RC86068 Use a motor vehicle on a road with silencer / exhaust system altered to increased the noise made
RC86092 Use a motor vehicle on a road in a manner as to cause excessive noise
RC86068 – 5
RC86092 – 2
Q2 response: No specific recorded information held. Stops are not recorded on a central system. There may be reference made to a stop made/warning given within an officer’s pocket notebook or via the Command and Control System; however, it is not possible to determine such information unless we were to ask ever officer in force to check their pocket notebooks/check all logs made for the period. This would take an inordinate amount of time which would exceed the amount to which we are legally required to respond i.e. the cost of locating and retrieving the information exceeds the ‘appropriate level’ as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
Freedom of Information Officer
