I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 17th August 2023 as follows:
I would like to know the number of offences recorded under Home Office Classifications 008/21 and 111/25 per year and b) the associated criminal justice outcomes for each of the below offences the last six years (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
For the purpose of standardisation can the Outcome codes be as per the outcome framework introduced in 2014 (Outcome Codes 1-22).
I am happy to accept the data in either calendar year or annual year format.
Offences:
Dog Dangerously Out of Control Causing Death (CJS Code DD91035 / HOCR 008/21)
Dog Dangerously Out of Control Causing Injury (CJS Code DD91034 / HOCR 008/21)
Dog Dangerously Out of Control Causing Injury to an Assistance Dog (CJS Code DD91036 / HOCR 008/21)
Dog Dangerously Out of Control No Injury (CJS Code DD91033 / HOCR 111/25)

Due to system changes, the requested information is only available from October 2017. Therefore, information has been provided for full calendar years from 2018 onwards. Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Response: A search was conducted for all crimes, recorded between 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2022, classified under the Home Office crime codes 8/21 and 111/24. These were then broken down by year and outcome. Please see the results set out below. Please note that ‘Outcomes’ only show the most serious outcome for any suspect attached to a crime. If there are multiple suspects this does not take into account ‘lesser’ outcomes of any other suspect(s)
