I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 17th August 2023 as follows:
There is a plan to close the Pool Bank Street car park in Nuneaton during the evenings from the end of August. This seems to be lead by char of Chair of Nuneaton and Bedworth Safer Communities Partnership. It seems that this is being done via the partnership or similar joint working between NBBC and the police.
Q1. Please provide minutes and reports from NABSCOP about the project.
Q2. Please supply details of funding to be provided by police and/or related bodies for installing barriers and controls.
Q3. Please supply details of any consultations, meetings with stakeholders etc related to closing the car park in evenings and over night.
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Q1 response: No information held. Any information of this nature will be held by the council.
Q2 response: No funding from the police is going towards this project.
Q3 response: The decision to close the car park in the evenings, was made by the local council but is supported by local policing as it assists with local policing priorities and proactive investigations that are/will be taking place in the area.
