FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: FOI-757-2023
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 15th August 2023 as follows:
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below.
Q1 response: Searches were conducted for all crimes, recorded since 1st August 2022, which have resulted in an outcome of ‘Type 1 Charge’. The resulting records were then reviewed for mention of any of the following keywords being present within the MO Description / Incident Summary fields:
Based on this search there were no records located relevant to your request.
However, it is important to note that keyword searches are not carried out routinely as they are not reliable. They will only bring back records where the chosen keyword(s) is present within the MO Description / Incident Summary of an investigation. These are limited free text fields and, even if relevant, the keyword may not be present within those fields. Therefore, the information provided cannot be assumed to be accurate and should be treated with caution. The only way to determine whether any offences resulting in a charge had any involvement with AI is to examine the wider investigation and case documents for every relevant crime. This would take an inordinate amount of time which would exceed the cost threshold (£450), which equates to 18 hours work at a standard rate of £25 per hour, as stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004.
Q2 response: Not applicable
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
Yours sincerely
