FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 737-2023
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 8th August 2023 as follows:
Please provide the following information for each of the calendar years 2020, 2021, 2022:
Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below. When reviewing the information please note that it was obtained by searching for NFIB referrals during the stated period. However, it should also be noted that referrals made to Warwickshire Police by Action Fraud are received for different reasons, for example, for investigation (eg where there is a local suspect), for protection purposes only (for example where there may be requirement for Warwickshire Police to make a visit to a vulnerable individual, but where no investigation in relation to an offence is required) etc. There is no way of determining between the reasons other than to review each and every record on an individual basis. Therefore, this can have an impact on the number of victims recorded and can skew outcomes.

Q2, Q2a & Q2b response: It is not possible to break referrals down by the NFIB Class as this is an organisation system used by the NFIB rather than local police forces and is not recorded on the Warwickshire Police system.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is as accurate as possible.
Your attention is drawn to the below which details your right of complaint.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or email the Freedom of Information Unit quoting the reference number above.
