FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 827-2021
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 10th October 2021 as follows:
- The number of cautions issued for sexual offences by the force in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
- 2.A breakdown of the cautions issued
- by sexual offence
- by gender of the offender
- by age of the offender

Response: Please find the Warwickshire Police response set out below. It should be noted that details have been provided in such a way as to ensure that an individual cannot be identified, as provided in Section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act. Exemption under Section 40(2) is applicable where the information requested relates to, or could lead to the identification of, an individual. In this case, releasing the detailed information requested, broken down by year and on a case by case basis, is highly likely to identify an individual and such a disclosure would breach their rights under the Data Protection Act 2018, in particular Article 5(1) of the GDPR which states that personal data shall be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
