FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 23-2021
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 11th January 2021 as follows:
In the last three years how many sexual offences were reported to you as having been committed at schools?
How many of were for the offence of rape?
How many were for the offence of sexual assault?
Response: I can advise that the information is held and please find our response set out on the attached sheet.
When reviewing the information please note that it was obtained by searching for relevant offences, during the stated period, where the ‘Crime Address’ has a building name or address containing the word ‘School’.
The resulting records were then reviewed for relevance and to remove any false positives. It is important to note that, due to the search criteria, should there be any relevant offences where a school does not have the stated keyword identifier within its name or address, then these will not have been captured within the response. For this reason the information provided cannot be assumed to be entirely accurate.
