I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 13th December 2021. Please find below the response to your request:
Under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) I am requesting all information that Warwickshire Police hold in relation to Unidentified Flying Object/Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings for the period 1st January 2021 to the 12th December 2021.
This includes all reports made by members of the public or employees of Warwickshire Police mentioning UFOs, UAPs, lights in the sky, aliens or extra-terrestrial beings. If including the letters UFO or UAP in a search enquiry would yield too many results due to possible vehicle registration numbers, then disregard those searches and use the remaining keywords (this is only if an initial search yields so many results that the time taken to go through them would exceed the cost limit for this FOI request).
This information should include date, time, location and the description given by the reporting person. No personal information of such witnesses should be included.
Response:
A keyword search has been conducted using the terms: UFO ,UFA ,Unidentified Flying Object, Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, Lights in the Sky, Alien, Extra-Terrestrial.
A manual check has then been carried out for relevance and the results are shown below.
- September 2021, approx. 3am – North Warwickshire - Person has seen 10-15 UFO's in the air, UFO's hovering in cluster formation and stationery for 50 minutes.
- September 2021 – approx. 5pm - South Warwickshire - Person has claimed to see a purple UFO outside.
