I am trying gauge how the cost of digitisation has affected the number of cameras forces have. My earlier request failed to clarify this.
How many fixed automated speed camera housings you operated before digitisation began? (i.e. when they were just film)
Please indicate the year this figure refers to
REPLY:
West Mercia Police 11534
There were 15 wet film devices in 2013 when we started our digitalisation programme.
Warwickshire Police 11535
We are unable to provide a year as requested as digitisation took place over several years. This did not affect the number of housings being operated. It was 12 and remains at 12.
The cost of digitisation was met by Warwickshire County Council and not the Police.
