I write in connection with your requests for information which were received on 5th March 2019. Please find below the responses to your requests for West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police information:
Beginning in the calendar year 2015, can you please provide an up-to-date, month-by-month breakdown of:
1. The number of crimes, where the offence location is recorded as 'school', for the following offences:
-Possess offensive weapon
-Possess offensive weapon on school premises
-Threaten with offensive weapon on school premises
-Possess firearm etc with intent to endanger life
-GBH Wounding.
-Attempted murder/murder
2. The type of weapon used
3. The age and gender of the offenders and whether they were charged.
4. The name of the school, where possible
REPLY:
Following receipt of your request please find the response set out below. Details have been provided in such a way as to ensure that individuals cannot be identified, as provided in Section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act.
Exemption under Section 40(2) is applicable where the information requested relates to a third party or could lead to the identification of the individual. Releasing the detailed information requested, broken down on a case by case basis, is likely to identify an individual. This would be in breach of Principal 1 (Fair & Lawful Processing) of the Data Protection Act 1998.
