I write in connection with your requests for information which were received on 7th August 2019. Please find below the responses to your requests for West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police information:
1) The number of arrests made in connection with Class A drug possession/dealing in public houses and nightclubs across the police force area for 2016, 2017, 2018 and thus far in 2019.
2) A further breakdown of what type of Class A drugs people were arrested in connection with possession and dealing in public houses and nightclubs across the police force area for 2016, 2017, 2018 and thus far in 2019.
3) The amount of people prosecuted for possession of Class A drugs and the amount of people prosecuted for dealing Class A drugs across the police force area for 2016, 2017, 2018 and thus far in 2019.

The request specifically asked for arrests in public houses and nightclubs. Unfortunately, the relevant searchable fields use free-text input and are not all mandatory, meaning a manual search was required of each field for the following terms; Place of Arrest, Offence Location, Offence Full Structured Address, Offence Building Name. Manually searched terms within each field; Public House, Pub, PH, P H, Inn, Bar, Nightclub, Night, Club
Please note that as arrests can sometimes be for more than one offence, the tables have been split to show as number of Arrests and number of Offences.
Please also note that West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police changed to a new recording system in 2017, hence the information for 2017 has been provided in different tables.
