I write in connection with your requests for information which were received on 1st July 2019. Please find below the responses to your requests for West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police information:
I am requesting information on the age profile of recruits that you have taken on from Police Now under the National Graduate Leadership Programme (NGLP) since 2015 for each year to date and the National Detective Programme (NDP) in 2019.
For each programme (NGLP and NDP) could you kindly confirm the number of recruits (if possible by gender as well) who fall into the following age profiles at the time of their recruitment:
Under 40 years old
41 to 45 years old
46 to 50 years old
51 to 57 years old
REPLY:
To date for recruited officers:-
2017 - 6 Police Now SNT (with no Police Now DC) - 2 Warwickshire and 4 West Mercia
All were under 40.
Police Now SNT officers started on 24th July 2019.
Police Now SNT – started 24/7/2017 = 7 officers in total all under 40 years age group
Warwickshire – 2 officers both male
West Mercia – 5 officers, 3 female and 2 male
No Police Now SNT recruits in 2018
Police Now SNT – started 22/7/2019 = 15 officers in total all under 40 years of age group
Warwickshire – 6 officers, 2 female and 4 male
West Mercia – 9 officers, 3 female and 6 male
No Police Now DC officers to date.
