FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NOs: West Mercia Police 11548 and Warwickshire Police 11549
I write in connection with your requests for information which were received on 1st April 2019. Please find below the responses to your requests for West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police information:
1. How many police vehicles have been involved in traffic collisions over the last three financial years?
For each of the financial years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19, please break these down by:
a. How many of these incidents occurred during emergency calls, and how many did not?
b. How many of these incidents involved injuries? And for those involving injuries, please break down the figures to show how many of these involved: i) injuries to police officers, b) the driver/rider of a suspect vehicle, or c) members of the public?
c. How many of these incidents involved fatalities? And for those involving fatalities, please break down the figures to show how many of these were: a) police officers, b) the driver/rider of a suspect vehicle, or c) members of the public?
d. How much compensation was paid to victims?
2. How many police vehicles were damaged in traffic collisions over the last three financial years (2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19)?
For each of the financial years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19, please break these down by:
a. How many police vehicles were damaged (including written off) as a result of the collisions? Please break these down by type of vehicle if possible (car, van, motorbike etc).
b. How many police vehicles were written off as a result of the collisions? Please break these down by type of vehicle if possible (car, van, motorbike etc).
c. What was the cost of repairing the damage or replacing the vehicles? Please break these down by type of vehicle if possible (car, van, motorbike etc).

1a. No information held -Information cannot be defined if the car was on an emergency call, as the blue lights and sirens can be activated but does not always mean they were on an emergency call though, as they may have been making ground, stationary at scene etc
