Op Resolve is our strategic programme in 2024/25 to prevent serious violence and anti-social behaviour (ASB) within our communities by embedding a hotspot policing approach.
The government published its Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan in March 2023 and funded ten pilot programmes in UK police forces with the aim of targeting police resources and activities in locations where crime is most concentrated.
The pilot programmes had a positive impact on crime levels and on public perceptions of safety and, in 2024, the Government extended funding to address serious violence as well as ASB, and to extend funding to more police forces - including Warwickshire.
As part of Op Resolve, we have identified a number of hotspots across the county where serious violence and ASB are more likely to happen.
We are continuing to work with partners across the region to raise awareness of the risks of serious violence and anti-social behaviour in a bid to reduce the likelihood and harm of criminal activity in the future.
Yes! We always welcome feedback on what we're doing well and what we can do better.
You may see some of our officers while they're out and about doing patrols in the hotspot areas, so we could encourage you to approach them and tell them what you think.
You may also see posters in some of our hotspot areas asking for feedback. Please scan the QR codes on these posters to let us know how safe you feel in that area.
Equally, if you see something that's not right, you can report it online through our website.
